There was NO smell, this is made incredibly well. I truly am blown away. Glowmode is a superior brand. The buckle is METAL. not plastic, so no breaking because it's highly strong and durable. the material of the back is firm but flexible. I did think it would be bigger but im so happy. it looks massive on the model but it's not that large. it will expand and can hold a decent amount. I have a galaxy ultra and it's pretty big and fits easily. excellent purchase.
