It is transparent and can be pulled together at the bottom part. The material perfectly covers my neck and protects my hands. It is a super light summer material that is also ventilated. Yes, it is a ventilated jacket. It is not sunproof everywhere. The back and under the armpit have a mesh part. Except for this(mesh part on the back), it is a thoughtful, smart design. This is the best UPF50 jacket that I have. I recommend it to everyone:))
